I highly recommend Sam. I took some refresher lessons with him, as I had not driven for a few years since passing my test due to studying and travelling commitments. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and reassuring and helped me get my confidence back behind the wheel. He was also very friendly and I really enjoyed my refresher lessons with him. Learning with Sam was an enriching experience. I looked forward to each lesson not just for the driving skills, but also for the light-hearted moments…..the chats and jokes that sometimes ended in laughter made the experience even more fun. Beyond the time behind the wheel, Sam’s teaching approach was thoughtful and effective. Remarkably, the final two lessons before my driving test played a crucial role in my success. I’m not sure how he did it, but the areas we focused on during those sessions turned out to be spot-on and incredibly helpful. After a six year hiatus from driving, I decided to take some refreshers with Sam to help build my confidence. Sam has been unbelievably patient, kind, polite and knowledgeable and he has helped me so much. I cannot fault Sam or Advance Driving School for how they have helped me learn to drive. I have been learning with Sam since winter 2023 and I have gone from a very anxious and nervous driver with very low self esteem, to a confident, assured and secure driver who passed second time. Sam was always prompt to arrive for our lessons, extremely well organised and easily contactable for queries, and took on board how I learn and receive information very quickly and tailored every lesson to help me engage as much as possible, Once again a huge thank you to Sam and all at Advance Driving School! I would definitely recommend Sam to whom ever needs driving training. He is very knowledgable, courteous, professional, and easy going. He will help you through all the training, and make you understand the rules of the road. I had no problems with Sam's teaching and I learned alot. Thank you very much Sam! Amazing!

Sam helped me so much and is such an amazing driving instructor. He is friendly and someone who you can have an absolute laugh with but he still pushes your driving to the next level. I do not have enough words to describe how much Sam helped me and boosted my confidence with driving and for that I thank him so much, i could not recommend him enough.

Prior to starting lessons with Sam, I had failed 3 previous test attempts and had been through 3 other instructors, all of whom were not the right match for me. I had extremely low confidence in my driving ability and genuinely started to think I would never pass! All of that changed as soon as I began lessons with Sam. He is, to put it mildly, the most patient, friendly and encouraging instructor I've ever had, with the vast knowledge and respect for road safety to back it up. His teaching is very adaptable and he's willing to work with you using whichever learning styles suit you best. I actually found myself looking forward to my lessons as he made sure the atmosphere was so joyful- it was like chatting with a friend for a couple of hours each week! Now that I've passed I'm not only a much more relaxed and confident driver, but also extremely safe. I would thoroughly recommend Sam to not only anyone wanting to learn how to drive, but especially those who have failed the test already and/or are lacking confidence. Sam will get you over the finish line 😊

I passed my test today with Sam, and I honestly can not thank him enough. He is so lovely, patient when you're struggling, and is one of your biggest supporters. I have always been such a nervous driver, but when I started learning with Sam my anxieties slowly eased, which in time made me more confident that I knew what I was doing and that I can do it safely. He is a 10/10 driving instructor and I will highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking of learning to drive.

Sam is a phenomenal teacher. I went into driving not very confident. Sam helped me understand everything and helped build my confidence very quickly. I would recommend Sam to anyone.
